Product details

The Pokemon 25th Anniversary Collection S8a Japanese Booster Pack is a must-have for any Pokemon enthusiast, celebrating 25 years of Pokemon magic. This special release is part of the Japanese Pokemon Trading Card Game and offers collectors and players alike a unique opportunity to own a piece of Pokemon history. Each booster pack contains 5 cards, and with a booster box containing 16 packs, you have the chance to collect 80 cards in total. The main set features 28 unique cards, including the highly sought-after Pikachu V-UNION card, which can be completed with cards from a single pack.

One of the standout features of this collection is the introduction of a new prism foil pattern, adding a dazzling touch to your collection. Each booster box typically contains 3-5 Prism foil reverse holo cards, offering an exciting element of surprise with every pack opened. While the set does not include the 25th Anniversary Edition Promo Card Pack, customers purchasing four booster packs will receive it separately, providing an additional incentive to expand your collection.

Released in 2021, this Japanese-language set has become a favourite among collectors, despite some criticism regarding duplicate cards. The chance to obtain rare and holographic cards, including the exclusive prism foil versions, makes this collection a valuable addition to any Pokemon fan’s treasure trove. Whether you’re looking to relive the nostalgia of Pokemon’s early days or seeking to enhance your current collection, the Pokemon 25th Anniversary Collection S8a Japanese Booster Pack is an exceptional choice.

Japanese vs English Pokémon cards

Japanese Pokémon TCG sets usually release months before their English counterparts, so buying the Japanese 25th Anniversary Booster Pack lets you open new cards and artwork well ahead of the English launch.

Many collectors also prefer Japanese cards for their print quality, crisp finish and distinctive card stock, and Japanese sets are often structured differently from English ones – sometimes as smaller, focused expansions. That makes the Japanese 25th Anniversary Booster Pack a favourite for binder collectors and anyone chasing alternate-art and special rare cards.

Japanese cards play exactly the same way as English cards. If you plan to use the cards in official Play! Pokémon events in Australia, check the current tournament rules first, as card language eligibility is set by the organisers. For collecting, opening and display, Japanese product is hard to beat.

Opening, collecting and storing tips

If you are opening the Japanese 25th Anniversary Booster Pack, do it on a clean, dry surface and sleeve any big hits straight away. A penny sleeve plus a top loader keeps chase cards in mint condition until you decide whether to bind, grade or trade them.

If you are keeping it sealed, store it upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, which can warp packaging and fade print. An acrylic case or box protector adds extra protection against dents and crushed corners.

Planning a pack-opening night? Share the packs around, keep a binder and sleeves on hand, and record the pulls – it is half the fun of buying the booster pack.

Ordering, shipping and payment

Ordering the Japanese 25th Anniversary Booster Pack is simple: choose your quantity, click Add to cart and check out securely. Shipping options and the exact cost for your address are calculated at checkout before you pay, and orders ship Australia-wide.
