Pokémon Delta Reign (ME06): Release Date, Card List and Pre-Order Guide
Mega Rayquaza ex headlines Delta Reign (ME06). Release dates, confirmed chase cards, Legendary Stadiums, product contents and pre-order tips.
Delta Reign is the next main expansion in the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s Mega Evolution series, and it puts Mega Rayquaza ex front and centre. The set launches worldwide on 6 November 2026, bringing four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, six Pokémon ex and a brand-new card type called Legendary Stadiums.
This guide pulls together everything confirmed so far: the key dates, the headline cards, how Legendary Stadiums work, what is inside each sealed product and how pre-orders work for Australian collectors. We have stuck to official announcements and trusted checklists, and flagged anything that could still change before release day.
What Is Pokémon Delta Reign?
Pokémon Delta Reign (set code ME06) is the sixth main expansion of the Mega Evolution series in English. It follows Pitch Black, which launched in July 2026, and it continues the series focus on Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. The official set description names Mega Rayquaza ex as the central Pokémon, alongside Mega Golisopod ex, Mega Golurk ex and Mega Malamar ex.
Most of the cards come from Japan’s Storm Emeralda expansion, which was released in Japan on 31 July 2026. Checklists published ahead of the English launch show that the English set also folds in cards from Japan’s MEGA Starter Decks, which is why the English version is larger than Storm Emeralda on its own.

Delta Reign Release Date and Key Dates
The Delta Reign release date is 6 November 2026, when booster packs, boxes and collections arrive worldwide. Before that, prerelease tournaments started on 24 October 2026 at participating Play! Pokémon stores, where players build 40-card decks from a Build & Battle Box. Pokémon TCG Live players get the cards a day early, on 5 November 2026.
Here is the timeline at a glance:
- 31 July 2026: Storm Emeralda, the Japanese counterpart, is released in Japan.
- 20 August 2026: The English set is officially revealed, with the product line-up and set details.
- 24 October 2026: Prerelease events begin at participating stores.
- 5 November 2026: Delta Reign arrives in Pokémon TCG Live.
- 6 November 2026: Worldwide release of the English set.
Because the set lands so close to the end of the year, it is a natural pick for Christmas presents and stocking stuffers. If you are planning to buy for someone else, it is worth sorting out your Delta Reign pre order early rather than leaving it to the last minute, so you have one less thing to think about in December.

Mega Rayquaza ex and the Delta Reign Headliners
Mega Rayquaza is back in the card game for the first time in roughly a decade, since the Mega Rayquaza-EX cards of the XY era. That alone has made Pokémon Delta Reign one of the most talked-about sets of the year. Mega Rayquaza ex appears on the main booster pack art, and it is expected to be the set’s biggest chase in its Special Illustration Rare and gold Mega Hyper Rare forms.
The other three Mega Evolution Pokémon ex each get their own booster pack design, so there are four pack artworks in total. As with every Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in the series, these cards hit hard and have high HP, but they give up three Prize cards when Knocked Out. Mega Golisopod ex, for example, has 340 HP.
| Card | Main set number | Type of card |
|---|---|---|
| Mega Golisopod ex | 011 | Mega Evolution Pokémon ex |
| Meowscarada ex | 014 | Pokémon ex |
| Heat Rotom ex | 023 | Pokémon ex |
| Wishiwashi ex | 029 | Pokémon ex |
| Raikou ex | 033 | Pokémon ex |
| Mega Golurk ex | 047 | Mega Evolution Pokémon ex |
| Zoroark ex | 067 | Pokémon ex |
| Mega Malamar ex | 069 | Mega Evolution Pokémon ex |
| Mega Rayquaza ex | 084 | Mega Evolution Pokémon ex |
| Talonflame ex | 088 | Pokémon ex |
The Hoenn weather trio connection
Rayquaza is not the only Hoenn legend in the spotlight. The Elite Trainer Box promo is an Illustration Rare style Kyogre, and Groudon appears in the set as well, including an Illustration Rare. For fans of Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, having all three of the weather trio linked to one release is a lovely touch, and the Japanese name Storm Emeralda will remind many fans of Pokémon Emerald, where Rayquaza takes centre stage.
Legendary Stadiums: The New Mechanic in Delta Reign
The biggest gameplay change in this set is the Legendary Stadium. According to the official set description, the set includes six Stadium cards that form three Legendary Stadiums. Each Legendary Stadium is split across two cards with one combined illustration, and you need both halves in your hand to play it.
This idea will feel familiar to long-time players. It draws on the LEGEND cards from the HeartGold & SoulSilver era, where two half-cards joined to make one powerful card. The good news for collectors is that any booster pack containing a Legendary Stadium includes both halves, so you never pull one half on its own.
The three Legendary Stadiums revealed so far are:
- Legendary Summit, shown in the official reveal of the set
- Legendary Ocean Trench, which doubles all healing for both players while it is in play
- Legendary Pyroduct, which completes the trio
Tip: Keep both halves of each Legendary Stadium together in the same binder page or sleeve pair. Side by side, the two cards show one continuous artwork, and that is how most collectors like to display them.
Delta Reign Card List: Chase Cards and Rarities
The official set description confirms more than 135 cards, including over 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations. Checklists published before release list 141 cards in total, made up of a 103-card main set and 38 secret rares. Final numbers are always confirmed on release, so treat this Delta Reign card list as a guide and check Serebii’s Delta Reign page for the complete set.
| Rarity | Number of cards | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Mega Evolution Pokémon ex | 4 | Official set description |
| Pokémon ex | 6 | Official set description |
| Legendary Stadium cards | 6 (3 Stadiums) | Official set description |
| Illustration Rare | 14 | Pre-release checklists |
| Ultra Rare | 17 | Pre-release checklists |
| Special Illustration Rare | 6 | Pre-release checklists |
| Mega Hyper Rare | 1 | Pre-release checklists |
Special Illustration Rares
The six Special Illustration Rares are the cards most collectors will chase first, because they pair full-card artwork with some of the hardest pulls in the set. Based on the checklists released so far, they are:
- Mega Golisopod ex
- Raikou ex
- Mega Golurk ex
- Mega Rayquaza ex
- Aarune
- Zinnia’s Trust
Zinnia’s Trust stands out for Hoenn fans. Zinnia is the Draconid storyteller from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire who is closely tied to Rayquaza, so her card sits naturally alongside the Mega Rayquaza ex chase cards in a binder. The set name will also ring a bell for those players, as the post-game story in those games, the Delta Episode, centres on Zinnia and Mega Rayquaza.
Mega Hyper Rare
The final card in the set is a gold Mega Hyper Rare Mega Rayquaza ex. In Japan, the matching Storm Emeralda card has been the top chase of that set, so expect plenty of interest in the English version too. Some collectors will prefer the illustrated Special Illustration Rare, while others love the gold finish, so many Rayquaza fans will be hunting for both.
Illustration Rares and Ultra Rares
The 14 Illustration Rares show regular Pokémon in detailed full-art scenes, including Groudon. The 17 Ultra Rares cover full-art Pokémon ex and Trainer cards. These tiers are often where collectors find personal favourites, since the artwork shows Pokémon in their natural habitats rather than mid-battle. Check the final English list on release for the full line-up of names.
Delta Reign Products: What Is in Each Box
The full product line was announced in August 2026. Every booster pack contains 10 cards, and the packs come in four artworks featuring Mega Rayquaza, Mega Golisopod, Mega Golurk and Mega Malamar. Here is how the main sealed products compare.
| Product | What’s inside | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Delta Reign Booster Box | 36 booster packs | Master set chasers, big openings |
| Delta Reign ETB | 9 booster packs, Kyogre promo, 65 sleeves, 40 Energy cards, player’s guide, dice, coin, collector’s box | Players, gifts, Kyogre fans |
| Delta Reign Booster Bundle | 6 booster packs | A smaller opening |
| Build & Battle Box | 4 booster packs, 40-card deck, 1 of 4 foil promos | Prerelease events |
| Three-pack blister | 3 booster packs, Seel promo | Small gifts |
Booster box: 36 packs
The booster box is the most pack-dense way to open the set and the best starting point if you want to build the full main set. Thirty-six packs give you a large spread of Commons, Uncommons and Rares, plenty of Pokémon ex, and a solid chance at several secret rares. It also means you are more likely to pull complete Legendary Stadium pairs.
Elite Trainer Box: 9 packs and the Kyogre promo
The Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box contains nine booster packs, a full-art foil Kyogre promo in an Illustration Rare style, 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player’s guide, six damage-counter dice, a competition-legal coin-flip die, a plastic coin, a collector’s box with six dividers and a Pokémon TCG Live code card. The Kyogre promo is exclusive to Elite Trainer Boxes, which makes the ETB the pick for anyone who wants the Kyogre promo in their binder.

Booster bundle: 6 packs
The Delta Reign Booster Bundle keeps things simple with six booster packs and no accessories. It suits collectors who already have sleeves and dice and want a few packs to open on release day, or as a gift for a player who already has their gear sorted.
Delta Reign Pre Order Guide for Australian Collectors
Pre-ordering lets you place your order before release day instead of hunting for products after launch. On our site, the Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box is listed as a pre-order product, so you can order it now ahead of the 6 November 2026 release. Popular sets like this one often see strong demand around launch.
A few tips to make your Delta Reign pre order go smoothly:
- Decide what you want first. Pick the ETB for the Kyogre promo and accessories, the booster box for volume, or the booster bundle for a smaller opening.
- Check the product page. Each listing shows whether the item is a pre-order, so you know exactly what you are ordering.
- Think about gifting dates. If the set is a Christmas present, order earlier rather than later.
- Ask if you are unsure. Our team can help you work out which product suits the person you are buying for.
Every product we sell is 100% authentic and officially licensed, priced in Australian dollars and shipped Australia-wide. If you have a question about a specific pre-order, or you are not sure which product suits the collector you are buying for, contact us and our team will help.

Booster Box vs ETB vs Booster Bundle: Which to Choose
Each Delta Reign product suits a different kind of buyer, so think about what you want most: packs, accessories or a promo. Also consider whether the cards are for playing, collecting or keeping sealed. The quick guide below matches common goals to the right box:
- You want the full set: the Delta Reign Booster Box gives you 36 packs in one go.
- You want the Kyogre promo: it comes in the Delta Reign ETB.
- You are new to the game: the ETB’s sleeves, Energy and dice cover everything you need to start.
- You want a few packs on release day: the booster bundle is the simplest pick.
- You want to try the set first: a Build & Battle Box at a prerelease event is a fun, low-commitment way to play.
Plenty of collectors mix and match. A common approach is a booster box for the main set and an ETB for the promo and a sturdy storage box. If you are new to sealed products, our Pokémon booster box guide explains how box sizes compare across languages and sets.
Delta Reign vs Storm Emeralda: English and Japanese Versions
Storm Emeralda launched in Japan on 31 July 2026, about three months before the English set. The English release takes most of its cards from Storm Emeralda and adds cards from Japan’s MEGA Starter Decks, so the English Delta Reign card list is bigger than the Japanese set alone and numbered differently, even though the headline cards match. Keep that in mind if you are comparing card numbers between the two languages.
Many collectors enjoy both versions. Japanese cards are known for their print quality and presentation, while English cards are the standard choice for local Play! Pokémon events in Australia. If you want to learn how Japanese sets line up with English releases, read our guide to Japanese Pokémon cards, or browse our Japanese Pokémon booster box range.
Getting Ready for Release Day
A little preparation goes a long way with a set this popular. Before your packs arrive, sort out storage so your best pulls are protected from the moment they come out of the wrapper. Australian summers can be hot and humid, so think about where your cards and sealed boxes will live:
- Penny sleeves and top loaders for every Illustration Rare and higher.
- A nine-pocket binder with room for the Legendary Stadium pairs side by side.
- A cool, dry spot for sealed product, away from direct sunlight and the summer heat.
- A printed or digital checklist so you can track which cards you still need.
If you are also catching up on earlier sets, our Chaos Rising card list and Perfect Order card list guides cover the other recent Mega Evolution expansions, and our Pokémon Pitch Black guide covers the set released just before this one. Remember to collect for enjoyment rather than speculation.

Is Delta Reign the same as Storm Emeralda?
Not exactly. Delta Reign takes most of its cards from Japan’s Storm Emeralda, released on 31 July 2026, and adds cards from Japan’s MEGA Starter Decks, so the English set is larger than the Japanese one. The headline Mega Rayquaza ex cards appear in both.
